The calorie ranges provided for each class are and estimate based on average level of exertion. The ranges provided are for an average level of exertion for a 135lb female and a 170lb male. The estimates are provided merely guidelines and your results will vary.
Several factors affect how many calories you can expect to burn during activity.
In general, males, will burn more calories than females for a similar activity. If you are a male, you can expect to be in the higher end of the range.
Weight / Body Composition
In general, Individuals who weigh more will burn more calories for a given activity. Additionally, Individuals with a higher percentage of muscle will burn more calories.
The harder you work the more calories you will burn. Our ranges are based on average level of effort for an activity. If you exercise very intensely you can expect to be in, or exceed, the high end of the provided.
